Turn toward the dark spots that would blind

Seek new reality with Conviction

You are more than the defenses defining you

  • Standing at the moment before incarnating into physical form,

    Before the great imaginal trip into the constructs of dimension, time, and distance

    At that pivotal moment of demarcation, visited again only in dreams and instances of extremity,

    "you" come now to see the fabric from which You became you.

    An assumption of two structural allowances, known thereafter as your Defense Mechanisms,

    Like observing cellular life’s original mitosis, here we feel the one splitting into two compatible limiting forces; a primary one held against the backdrop of the second.

    It will take precisely one lifetime to tell that story from start to finish. That's how it works.

    The curious Adept will ask "But why?. Why do it? And to what end?" 

    The answers are constructed only from within that decisive moment.

    A different set of answers for every combination of defenses.

    1. Identify one of the two defense mechanisms at play in how you create much of your lived experiences.

    2. Consider how it works alongside other defenses in consensus reality.

    3. Consider how it behaves when combined with its dark twin; with traits too pathological, too demonic to be viewed directly.

    4. Practice Minding the Gaps incurred by those twin defenses and take a slow look at the demon they create in your field.

    5. Place attention on the implicit needs of that demon.

    Pay heed to those who visit you,

    hear their messages,

    help them find their place and their companions within.
