Propelled by the feeling of Self Righteous, Indignance

We project in order to put at a distance that which we find difficult to experience from within.

“I am clean and whole because all dangerous impulses belong in the object outside of my boundary.” By externalizing our internal discomfort as if it is coming from the outside world or another person, the inner self feels protected. However, using projection between one's own impulses and the outside world will eventually spell trouble, for the world rapidly becomes populated with mirrors of the self's unacknowledged flaws. Projecting the source of our troubles on to others, can cut us off from the capacity or interest in self improvement, and self forgiveness.

Adoration, Passion

As adults we will Project as a means to find our own selves worthy of Adoration, Passion

  • There is a consensus reality - where we perceive that which is agreed upon as reliable. In this shared reality, we generally see four “acceptable” combinations of defense mechanisms operating. Developed in early childhood, they continue to operate as a basic temperamental style throughout adulthood. Here we see Projection as it combines with its four common partners.

When Projecting is combined with Withdrawing =

I behave as an Adversary - projecting my feelings while seeking to be Valiant

When Projecting is combined with Detaching =

I behave as a Daredevil - projecting my feelings while seeking to be Regaling

When Projecting is combined with Denial =

I behave as a Neurotic - projecting my feelings while seeking to be Nurturing

When Projecting is combined with Discharging =

I behave as a Nitpicker - projecting my feelings while seeking to be Magnanimous

Valiant Adversary

Projecting my despondent feelings while seeking to appear Playful

Regaling Daredevil

Nurturing Neurotic

Magnanimous Nitpicker

Projecting my spiteful feelings while seeking to appear Hopeful

  • Dark wave energies are experienced outside the accepted norms of reality, usually occurring in the form of a persistent Doppelganger, a nemesis to our accepted sense of selfhood.

As our attachment to the rotating Defense Structures within us dissolves, attention turns to disembodied dark waves that we find alive in our environment. There are 18 available to the witnessing eye. As we gain a more direct relationship to these Dark Wave entities, we place ourselves at the Gates of Dawn.
